Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting healthcare providers in various clinical and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
2. Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.
3. Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures.
4. Prepare and administer medications as directed by healthcare providers.
5. Schedule appointments and assist with patient check-in and check-out processes.
6. Maintain electronic health records and ensure patient confidentiality.
7. Assist with medical documentation and billing processes.
8. Provide patient education and support as needed.
9. Sterilize and maintain medical equipment and supplies.
10. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. High school diploma or GED required.
2. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential preferred.
3. Previous experience working in a medical setting preferred.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
6. Proficiency in medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.
7. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
8. Knowledge of electronic health records and medical billing systems.
9. CPR certification.
10. Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
